Evolution of a Logo

The finished logo was sharp and completely filled the brief. It has proven itself to be a very versatile insignia.

As we were originally producing games for mobile phones, we were cursed by ridiculously small jar sizes, and the flat, single colour logo worked perfectly on splash screens that had to be 'crunched' down in size for the smallest of handsets. As the phones got better we experimented with the logo. Mark Brown tooned it up a little.

As we became established in the mobile sector, I decided that there was no need to be precious with the logo and that where possible it should be themed to the game. Mark Brown created a pink and powerpuffy splash for Powerpuff Girls - Mojo Madness. The blue reflected logo was used for Dastardly and Muttley in their Flying Machines and segued seamlessly into a blue sky cut scene..

Colin then themed it perfectly to fit iBomber.

Mark created a suitably retro and very British logo for Dam Buster.

Carrie has since produced this polished logo for use in our Trailers.
And there you have some of the key moments in the ongoing evolution of a logo.

iBomber - Teaser Trailer
iBomber (previously Bombs Away) - Coming Soon!
Here are a few images from our new game iBomber. It'll be available soon from the App Store. Colin Gordon created all the artwork for this game and has come up with a cool, unique 2D look for it. I think it looks terrific. Dan 'Danger' Leyden has done his usual sterling job programming. Carrie Guthrie designed the dynamic logo.
iBomber started life as Bombs Away, but for reasons far too arcane and convoluted to go into here, the game is now going to be called iBomber. Carrie has kept the look of the original logo and modified it to fit the new one word name.
Above: the new dynamic logo and splash for iBomber.
Above: the logo and splash using the old name of Bombs Away.
Above: Bombs Away is still the name of the plane in the game.

LEGO Batman: Gotham City Games
Gotham City Games is a title that we developed for TT Games, based on the LEGO Batman franchise. We developed a unique 2D look fro this game to differentiate it from its 3D big brother. The game is a series of mini-games that are all connected by a comic book framework.
Here you can see how artist Colin Gordon created a few of the comic book screens from pencils to finished art work, working from a script from William Hazle.
